ELECTRONIC VERIFICATION

ARE Deutzen GmbH was among the companies selected to participate in a pilot project for the electronic creation of verification documents in the German states of Berlin and Brandenburg, which was carried out under the auspices of Sonderabfallgesellschaft Brandenburg Berlin (SBB).

The Act on the Simplification of Monitoring under Waste Law and the Ordinance on the Simplification of Monitoring under Waste Law then entered into force on 1 February 2007. Since 1 April 2010, companies have been required to keep verification documents in an electronic form.

ARE Deutzen GmbH has used the electronic verification procedure since 2006. Proof of disposal and accompanying records have been created in the meantime, signed and registered electronically. The eANV portal operated by our company is also available to our customers.

NOTIFICATION

Notification means the approvals process for the cross-border transportation of waste pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 of the European Parliament and the Council of 14 June 2006 concerning shipments of waste (EC-SW). Classification of waste according to the annexes to this EC-SW is mandatory. EC-SW defines binding rules whereby the cross-border transportation of waste is subject to a written notification procedure, depending on the disposal methods applied in the destination country. This written notification procedure must on all accounts be applied prior to the transportation of the following waste classes:
  • all waste classes earmarked for disposal, and
  • all waste classes earmarked for recycling
    • that are listed in annex IV/V A
    • unlisted waste,
    • mixed waste that is not classified as individual entries in the lists (annex III, III B, IV, IV A).
ARE Deutzen GmbH supports its customers in applying for the necessary notification.
