Intermediate storage

The soil treatment site in Deutzen has an intermediate storage facility with a capacity of 80,000 t, including two for highly odorous waste with a capacity of 30,000 t and 20,000t, respectively. These storage facilities are inside of Building I, which is equipped with special subsoil sealing.

The storage facilities are hermetically sealed and have extraction and waste air treatment systems, as well as systems for odour absorption and neutralisation. Waste is fed into and removed from them via an airlock.

Once approved, the waste is also placed in intermediate storage with authorisation for disposal at facilities operated by third parties.
